Jake Paul slams Jorge Masvidal for alleged ‘ambush’ of Colby Covington, UFC to pay fighter

Jake Paul has once again set his sights on the UFC along with one of the promotion’s biggest stars, Jorge Masvidal.

The YouTube star and undefeated boxer took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to lay out two of his “facts of the day”.

Paul first targeted Masvidal for his role in an alleged Monday night row at a Miami restaurant. Although details of the incident are scarce, Paul stated that he believes Masvidal “ambushed” his opponent just over two weeks after Covington’s dominant unanimous decision victory over Gamebred at UFC 272.

“Masvidal ambushed Colby as hell,” Paul said. “Couldn’t hurt him on the page, so [you] try to blind him?

Of course, Paul had a few extra symbols on Twitter, which is why he took another shot at the UFC for how the promotion pays its athletes, which has led to an increase in UFC revenue and profits over the past nearly two decades.

In 2021, Paul went 3-0 in the square circle when he defeated a pair of former UFC fighters. Problem Child stopped Ben Askren this April with a first-round TKO before picking up two wins over former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. During their second meeting last December, Paul viciously knocked out Woodley in the seventh round in Tampa, Florida.
