As of February 10, Chychrun has been on hiatus from the organization, which may want to trade him through the March 3 National Hockey League trade deadline. The 24-year-old skater also attended Tuesday’s practice, except head coach André Tourigny did not confirm his attendance for next day’s game against the Calgary Flames.

“It’s day to day,” the rider contented himself to PHNX Sports media.

Three days after the full-back’s last clash, Tourigny said he played his last game in a ‘Yotes’ shirt. This season, Chychrun has recorded seven goals and 21 assists for 28 points in 36 games while maintaining a +8 difference. After making his debut at Bettman circuit in 2016-2017, he hit the target 18 times in 56 appearances in 2020-2021, which is his highest total of a career. He has two years left on a six-year, $27.6 million contract. His salary is $4.6 million annually for the bulk of his team.
