Jalen Hurts passed Cam Newton by scoring his 29th rushing touchdown in his 48th career game, a record for a quarterback, as the Philadelphia Eagles won easily over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-11 on Monday night at Raymond James Stadium.
The Eagles’ (3-0) ground game was certainly one of the keys to the game, as the Philadelphia-based club racked up 201 total yards on the ground compared to just 41 for the Buccaneers (2-1). This is their first loss this season.

In addition to Hurts, who also finished his night with 23 completed passes on 37 attempts and gained 277 yards, it was Olamide Zaccheaus who scored the other attempt for the Eagles.
He even scored the game’s first touchdown after catching a 34-yard pass from Hurts before heading into the end zone.
Eagles kicker Jake Elliott also made three field goals, including one from 36 yards and one from 38 yards. At the end of the game we got a shock from the Bucs as wide receiver Mike Evans tried to score a touchdown.
The Eagles’ next game is Sunday against the Washington Commanders. The Buccaneers will look to return to victory against the Saints in New Orleans on the same day.
