Ray Fisher, best known for his portrayal of the superhero Cyborg in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, is bringing new DC co-boss James Gunn into high gear.
Fisher recalled a tweet in which Gunn appeared to show “support” for Joss Whedon after the actor accused him of creating a toxic work environment on the set of Justice League.
“The way @JamesGunn uses fake grace on Twitter is really funny,” Fisher tweeted. “He’s going to hit out for Joss Whedon, pseudo-apologize and then immediately delete it before taking his new DC job, isn’t it. Refusing to apologize for toxic behavior appears to be a job requirement for WB/DC.”
Fisher’s comments come as Gunn took to Twitter to address the backlash he’s received from some fans over the choices he and Peter Safran are making for the DC Universe.
In the screenshots Fisher shared, Gunn apologizes to him for liking a tweet defending Whedon. Fisher also shared another screenshot showing that the tweet has now been deleted.
Comments on Fisher’s tweet have fans reminding him that Gunn has an auto-delete feature on his Twitter account that deletes older tweets after a certain amount of time. In 2018, Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy for previous offensive tweets.
Gunn responded to Fisher explaining the feature on Twitter, adding, “ALL my tweets are automatically deleted every few months Ray, it has nothing to do with my tweets to you.”
