James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers passed Reggie Miller for the only career 3-pointer in 3-pointers.

PHILADELPHIA — 76ers guard James Harden hit a three-pointer with a step back with 7:01 to go in the first quarter of the Brooklyn Nets’ 129-100 loss Thursday night to move past Reggie Miller for third overall in the NBA. time 3-dot list.

Harden, who played Miller in Monday’s victory over the Chicago Bulls, ended the game with three 3s for a career-high 2,563 points. Harden entered Thursday 413 three-pointers behind Ray Allen, second most in NBA history, and 552 behind all-time leader Stephen Curry, who led Allen earlier this season.

“[Third] of all time in the history of the NBA, this is certainly a huge achievement,” Harden said recently. “I think #1 will definitely be hard to catch. You have the best shot ever to hit a basketball, Steph. But that’s the realm from Reggie to Ray to Kyle Korver [in fifth place]I mean, these are incredible shooters that we have all witnessed shooting basketball at a high level.

“So I am blessed, I am lucky to be on this list, at the top of the list. And I’ll do my best to try and catch Steph. [It’s] it’s going to be hard, dude.”

Miller was currently in the building announcing a game for TNT and was identified by the Wells Fargo Center public address announcer when Miller then stood up from his raincoat seat. 76ers custom T-shirt honoring Harden for including it on the list.
