“It’s going to be a massive moment!” James Haskell admits he is “terrified” ahead of his first night alone looking after young daughter Bodhi while wife Chloe Madeley enjoys an evening
He welcomed his first child with wife Chloe Madeley in August.
And James Haskell admitted he is “terrified” ahead of his first night alone looking after their baby daughter Bodhi, 7 months, while his partner enjoys a night out.
The former rugby player, 37, said it was going to be “a powerful moment” as he joked he couldn’t call his wife for help and “give in to the enemy”.
Speaking on Thursday’s episode of Jeremy Vine, he explained: “I’ve looked after her but it’s the first night it’s just me and her alone. It will be terrifying.
“I don’t think I’ll see anything different than her, like, ‘Are you still breathing? Are you still breathing?’

James continued: “And Chloe will be outside. It’s going to be a tremendous moment!’
“I feed her all night and take her in the morning, that’s fine, but if she’s not in the house I can’t say, ‘Babe, what’s going on here?’
Host Jeremy exclaimed: “You can’t call Chloe!”
“I can’t. I would never yield to the enemy,’ James replied.
But later he added: “When I’m away and DJing and having fun, Chloe will call me and remind me what I miss and how bad it is at home and I should feel guilty about it.”
It comes after Chloe revealed she relies on her parents Richard and Judy on “bad days” as the new mom to her baby daughter Bodhi.
The personal trainer, who showed off her abs in new snaps on Wednesday, has now admitted she was feeling “pretty depressed” going into her third trimester.
Chloe explained in a new podcast that she struggled with living in the Midlands while her parents were in London during her pregnancy, but that things are easier now that they’ve moved south.
Oh dear: Speaking on Thursday’s episode of Jeremy Vine, he explained: “I’ve taken care of her but it’s the first night, just me and her alone. It’s gonna be scary’
Family: James continued: “And Chloe will be outside. It’s going to be a tremendous moment!’
Speaking on midwife Pip’s podcast, Chloe said of her final stages of pregnancy: “I felt very isolated, very alone. I was pretty depressed and pretty freaked out.
“I also don’t think it helped at the time that James and I were still living in the Midlands and I was separated from all my friends and family. Now if I’m having a bad day…I just get in the car and go to my parents’ house.”
Chloe described how her parents are now very supportive of her and said she could “catch her breath”.
She explained: “It’s only when I’m in my family home with my mother and father, who are also possessed by Bodhi, that I just catch my breath and come back down to earth. I kind of reconnect with everything I love about my life.
