Last month, the 55-year-old star was admitted to a medical facility in Georgia, in the southern United States, where he was filming a film for Netflix.

No details of the actor’s ailments have since been released, leading some to suspect his condition is worsening.

But her daughter Corinne Foxx wanted to dispel those rumors in an Instagram post on Friday.

Deploring media speculation, she says, “My father has been out of the hospital for several weeks and is recovering.” He even played pickleball yesterday, a very popular racquet sport in the United States.

Jamie Foxx’s agent confirmed the information to AFP without giving further details.

Throughout his career, Jamie Foxx notably won an Oscar in 2004 for his stunning portrayal of singer Ray Charles, the soul legend, in the biopic Ray.

That same year, he was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Collateral and also made an impression playing a slave trying to conquer his freedom in Quentin Tarantino’s western Django Unchained.

He recently filmed Back in Action opposite Cameron Diaz in Georgia.

In an April 12 Instagram post, Corinne Foxx wrote that her father “suffered a medical complication,” but that he was “thankfully, with quick action and quality care, already on the road to recovery.”

The actor himself wrote on Instagram last week that he “appreciates all the love” he’s received.
