Jamie Foxx appeared in good spirits as he headed out to lunch at Sea Casa in Westlake Village, California on Friday after sharing a health update earlier this week.
Despite recently being hospitalized with a non-specific medical complication, the 55-year-old actor looked happier and healthier than ever as he gave viewers a friendly thumbs-up.
Walking back to his car, the Oscar winner, who has been undergoing physical rehabilitation in Chicago, Illinois, showed off his very muscular arms in a black t-shirt.
On his most recent outing, the father-of-two wore a wide-brimmed white hat, aviator sunglasses, Givenchy track pants and sneakers.
On Wednesday, he revealed to his Instagram followers that he’s “finally feeling like himself again” after his health crisis.

Speaking to his 16.8 million followers, he opened up about an “unexpected dark journey.”
Despite the challenges of his recovery, the artist said he “can see the light” and is grateful “to everyone who has reached out and sent well wishes and prayers.”
“I have a lot of people to thank… You just don’t know how much it meant… I’ll personally thank you all… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day, every day,” he concluded.
The Strays star has also shared several photos of herself, including one where he’s staring straight at the camera while wearing a crocheted bucket hat and white V-neck shirt.
Below the post, fans and many of his celebrity friends, including Jeremy Renner, left warm comments.
Renner, 52, who nearly died in January after being crushed by a snow plow, wrote: “Brother I know that feeling!!!” It only gets better from here! Thank God❤️❤️❤️❤️’

The update came less than a month after Foxx gave his first detailed update on how he’s been doing since being discharged from the hospital.

Foxx informed fans in an emotional three-minute recording of his health condition that he is neither “blind” nor “paralyzed.”
“I went through something I never thought I would ever go through. I know a lot of people [were] I’m waiting or wanted to hear an update but to be honest I didn’t want you to see me like that man,” he admitted tearfully.
The actor, who returned to work last month to shoot a commercial in Las Vegas, continued, “I want you to see me laugh, have fun, party, make a joke, do a movie.” [or] a TV show.’
“I didn’t want you to see my hoses coming out of me and I’m trying to figure out if I could make it.”
The father-of-one added that he went “through hell and back” to survive and experienced some “potholes” on his “road to recovery”.

On the mend: While reflecting on his health struggles, the actor told his more than 16.8 million followers that his mysterious illness was “an unexpected dark journey”.
The Beat Shazam presenter also praised his sister Deondra Dixon and daughter Corinne, 29, for “saving” his life and keeping the details surrounding his hospitalization a secret.
“To you god many great medical professionals I can leave you this video,” Foxx added. “I can’t tell you how great it feels to have your family so involved and you all know they’ve kept everything under wraps, they haven’t let anything out, they’ve protected me and that’s what I hope everyone can do.’ Have in moments like this.’
He then showed that his “eyes are working properly” by moving them from side to side, before clarifying that he was “not paralyzed.”
Speaking directly to fans, he said, “I just want to say I love everyone and all the love I’ve received.”
The actor was speechless as he warned, “If you see me outside from now on and I burst into tears every now and then, it’s just because it’s been hard man.” I felt sick man. But now I’ve got my legs under me, so you’re gonna take me out.’
“Man, I know videos talk about people crying … but I’m not going to take a shot two, it is what is,” he mused. “Like I said, I want you to remember me for the jokes I make and the films I make – some of them good, some not (I think I’ve made a good one) and songs .’that I sing.’
“I’m here on earth because of some great people. I’m here on earth because of God, man,” the performer concluded. “I’m on my way back.”
Foxx captioned the video, “Thank you everyone…it’s been a long road but all the prayers amazing people and God got me through.”
Within an hour, he received more than 306,306 likes and thousands of messages from his followers and celebrity friends, including LL Cool J, who commented, “So glad you’re back bro.”

Foxx recently threw a party to celebrate his progress, which gathered guests at the Chicago rehab facility he attends as an outpatient, a source told People.
The source said that Foxx “has been working really hard to get back to normal for the last few months and has been doing significantly better since arriving at the facility.”
They added that he threw the party “to celebrate that things are getting better.”
