Jamie Foxx is still in the hospital after learning of his medical complication.
PEOPLE has confirmed the 55-year-old actor is still at a Georgia medical facility and tests have been conducted following the “medical complication” his daughter Corinne Foxx spoke about last week.
“They’re running tests and they’re still trying to figure out exactly what happened,” a source told CNN of Foxx’s health crisis, which emerged Tuesday.
Foxx was in Atlanta filming his upcoming Netflix movie, Back in Action, alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.
The incident did not happen while Foxx was on set, and he was not taken to the hospital in an emergency vehicle, PEOPLE confirms.
On Friday, a source told PEOPLE that Foxx is steadily improving as he continues to recover in hospital.

Corinne, 29, first updated fans on her father’s health on Wednesday, when she revealed he had suffered “a medical complication” the day before. She did not share any details about Foxx’s condition or the cause of his health emergency.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote in a statement written on behalf of the Foxx family.
“Thankfully, thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery. We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers,” the statement said. “The family requests privacy during this time.”
A Foxx representative did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
The actor was recently spotted filming his latest movie, Netflix Back in Action on April 10th.

A source previously told PEOPLE that the film’s set was “shut down” on Wednesday following the lead actor’s health crisis. Filming resumed Thursday with a replacement for Foxx on set, a source said.

According to an email PEOPLE received on Thursday, a Back in Action casting director informed extras that a scene scheduled to film last Sunday has been canceled due to “production changes.”
That scene won’t be rescheduled due to the changes, but scenes scheduled to film Monday and Tuesday are expected to continue as planned, according to the memo.
A Netflix spokesman did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
