It’s been a month since Jamie Foxx was hospitalized following a “medical complication”.
Very few details about his condition have emerged since the multi-hyphenated star fell ill.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, developed a medical complication yesterday,” the actor’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, said in a statement posted to social media on April 12.
“Thankfully, thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery. We know how popular he is and we appreciate your prayers,” she added. “The family requests privacy at this time.”
Conflicting reports about Foxx’s condition have surfaced during his nearly 30-day stay in hospital. While most reports suggest the actor is recovering, a source told Radar on Tuesday (May 9) that his friends and family are “hoping for the best – but preparing for the worst.”

“Every night I pray for him and wish him only the best, one of the best we’ve gotten in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but also a good person,” he added.

“I appreciate all the love!!! feeling blessed [prayer, heart and fox emoji]’ the actor shared on his Instagram story.
On the same day, a source close to the actor told TMZ that he “needs all the prayers and well wishes his fans can muster.”

“Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie the very best in his continued recovery and we really appreciate Nick’s willingness to step in and help this summer,” Shazam said on Instagram.
“Man, I pray. I literally prayed out loud,” Cannon said of Foxx.
On May 4, comedian Kevin Hart also hinted that Foxx was on the road to recovery.
“The great thing is that he’s doing better in his situation and you can see and feel everyone’s prayers, love, everyone’s energy, all of that [by him]” Hart told hosts Logan Paul and Mike Majlak on their Impaulsive podcast.

“In that case, you just want the man to get out of the situation and go home.”
Hart continued, “I don’t know the details — or the exact details — of what’s going on, but to my knowledge there’s a lot of progress and a world that’s getting better.”
On Tuesday (May 9), Corinne shared an ad on social media in which she stars alongside her father for Intel.
Many other stars wished the actor a speedy recovery on Instagram.
Foxx was in Georgia, USA filming the upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action when he was transferred to a medical facility. He remains there and is being “kept under surveillance,” US media reported.
The actor reunited for the film with his ‘Any Given Sunday’ (1999) and ‘Annie’ (2014) co-star Cameron Diaz, who has since returned to film, while body doubles fill in for Foxx.
The film, starring Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), is Diaz’s first film since retiring from acting in 2014.
It is slated to be an action comedy; However, all details of the plot were kept top secret.
Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson also star.
Foxx is widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s nicest and most talented stars. He is as famous for his career as he is for his ability to act, sing, dance and perform comedy.
“To be honest, I don’t consider myself famous, I really don’t,” he said in a recent profile on The Rake. “I’ve always been the guy that people feel comfortable with throughout my career, not really a ‘celebrity.'”
“It’s important to have good people around who always tell you the truth. The friends I met when I first came to LA 30 years ago are still the same friends. We’re all still kicking it and laughing.”
