Jamie Foxx has left the hospital and continues to recover from his medical problem of the last month.

His daughter Corinne Foxx refuted a media report on Instagram that his loved ones were preparing for the worst. She first revealed on social media on April 12 that her father had suffered a “medical complication” the day before while filming the Netflix movie Back in Action in Atlanta, but after quick action and great care, he was gone was on the road to recovery.

“Update from the family: Sad to see the media go wild,” Corinne Foxx wrote in a note on her Instagram Stories on Friday. “My father has been out of the hospital for weeks and is recovering. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thank you for all your prayers and support!”

She added, “We have an exciting job announcement next week too!”

Fox Entertainment announced earlier this month that Nick Cannon will fill in for Jamie Foxx in the upcoming sixth season of Beat Shazam, with guest DJ Kelly Osbourne. Foxx has hosted the music-centric game show since 2017, and Corinne Foxx joined as the show’s DJ in season two.

On the day Cannon’s guest presenter stint was announced, Foxx broke his silence after the health issue on Instagram: “I appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.” The star also posted on her Instagram Stories at the time, “Treasure you my boy @nickcannon. See you soon.”

Director Seth Gordon’s upcoming film Back in Action, which will star Foxx alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, remained in production and was scheduled to wrap up, a Netflix source told following Foxx’s hospitalization.
