Two decades after “A Crazy, Crazy, Crazy Friday,” Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis finally return to their roles in a sequel to the hit Disney film.

Tess and Anna Coleman will be back for new adventures if we are to believe the words of Jamie Lee Curtis as reported by the New York Times. And during the promotional tour for the film “Halloween is Over” the 64-year-old actress got the idea to play a sport [légère] Pressure on the Disney studio to make this project a reality.

“I was traveling around the world and people were asking me if there would be a sequel to ‘Crazy, Crazy, Crazy Friday.’ It touched me. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and told them we had to do this movie,” she says.

His enthusiasm is also shared by his co-star Lindsay Lohan.

“We are both very open to this project. “We would only do it if it was something people would love,” she said.

According to Variety magazine, screenwriter Elyse Hollander will sign the script. No release date has been announced yet.

Released in 2003, A Crazy, Crazy, Crazy Friday followed a mother-daughter tandem (Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan) who found themselves in each other’s bodies overnight. The novel it is based on has had two previous film adaptations: Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster starred in 1976, while Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffman starred in the second in 1995.
