Jamie Lee Curtis leads the red carpet parade of stars to wear a blue ribbon in support of Ukraine

Jamie Lee Curtis wore a blue ribbon reading “With Refugees” on the red carpet at the 94th Academy Awards to show her support for those fleeing war-ravaged Ukraine.

Curtis wore the ribbon on the ring finger of her left hand as she walked the red carpet in a curve-hugging black fishnet dress at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Sunday afternoon.

Her support came as no surprise considering the legendary actress, 63, spoke out against the war overseas earlier this month.

“We are in the midst of a crisis that will potentially affect all of us,” Curtis told People, adding that “we all need to be mindful of the repression.”

“Right now it is affecting the beautiful people of Ukraine. There is a possibility that it will become much broader and that is why we all have to pay a lot of attention to this aggression.

She added: “Putin is a laughingstock. It’s hard to imagine ever having diplomatic relations with Russia again.”

Several other Hollywood stars showed their support for Ukraine.

Actor Jason Momoa wore a handkerchief in the colors of the Ukrainian flag – blue and gold.

“Glory to Ukraine,” Momoa, 42, told reporters on the red carpet, Page Six reported.

Actress Marlee Matlin, 56, wore a blue and gold necklace in what appeared to be a tribute to Ukraine.

The necklace made a bold statement with Matlin’s bright red dress.

Songwriter Diane Warren wore the same “with fugitives” pin as Curtis as she strutted down the red carpet in a lime green suit. She claimed wearing the ribbon was “not political.”

“It’s human and the least we can do,” Warren, 65, told USA TODAY on Sunday.

Actress Yuh-Jung Youn, 74, also showed off the blue ribbon on her long-sleeved black dress with buttons and subtle sheen.

Youn, a refugee from North Korea who won the 2020 Best Supporting Actress Oscar, told the news outlet on Sunday that she wishes there were no war in the world or refugees without homes.

The “with refugees” bow was a popular outfit chosen on Sunday night.

Spanish composer Alberto Iglesias wore it proudly on his black tuxedo as he posed for photos on the red carpet.

Members of the cast of The Hand of God, as well as the film’s director, chose to wear the ribbons.

Actress Luisa Ranieri, actor Filippo Scotti, director Paolo Sorrentino and his wife Daniela D’Antonio were pictured together smiling as they walked the carpet together with the ties on their suits and dresses.
