Janic has continued to evolve in Radio Canada radio since its inception. He’s a seasoned journalist with great curiosity, creativity and accuracy, said Luce Julien, Radio-Canada’s director general of information, adding that he’s known for his closeness to listeners.
No one can follow in the footsteps of the immense Michel Désautel, who in turn created Janic Tremblay. The team of this show is solid and its heart beats to the rhythm of long national and international reports. I will work tirelessly to offer listeners a relevant appointment.
Janic Tremblay, who joined Radio-Canada in 1998 after practicing law for a number of years, has worked as a news, current affairs and public affairs reporter on several of Radio-Canada’s radio programs. Since 2016 he has been working on the Sunday program Désautels.
He has several reports in the United States, Europe and Africa to his credit. He is also the author of several radio series on economic decarbonization and the impact of technology.
Mr. Tremblay has also received awards and accolades: in 2008 he was a co-winner of the Canadian Award for Excellence in Health Reporting, presented by the Canadian Medical Association, and received the First Prize for Recreational Journalism – National Radio Category – presented by the Conseil Québécois du loisirs over the years 2019 and 2020.
