(ANSA) — TOKYO, Jan. 25 — A cargo ship with 22 people on board capsized off the coast of Nagasaki Prefecture, the Japanese city southwest of the archipelago. This was reported by the Coast Guard, specifying that the Hong Kong-flagged ship with a crew of 14 Chinese and 8 Myanmar nationals signaled an emergency late Tuesday night when it was 110 kilometers west of the Danjo Islands.

The 6,550 tonne vessel had been sighted by another vessel passing the area and promptly alerted rescue authorities, allowing the crew to be rescued. (HAND).
