Jared Leto is 30 seconds away from serious injury as the actor attempts to scale the wall of his Berlin hotel in two slides – three months after he performed the same bizarre stunt without a harness

Jared Leto was 30 seconds away from serious injury on Tuesday when he tried to climb over a wall outside his Berlin hotel – without a seatbelt.

For reasons known only to the Oscar-winning actor and musician, he bravely attempted to scale the facade of the five-star Hotel de Rome wearing a pair of garish skull sliders.

Leto, 51, risked a fall into the concrete entrance and, in his unconventional footwear, managed to climb over the first floor windows of the 19th-century hotel before descending to the safety of Berlin’s Bebelplatz.

The eccentric 30 Seconds From Mars singer performed a similar stunt outside the same hotel in June, drawing a crowd while hoisting himself onto one of the giant stone window ledges.

Days later, Leto repeated the risky climb during a trip to Paris, where he was seen scaling the concrete wall of a building in the French capital.

Leto attracted a slightly larger audience in his most recent attempt, but his motivation for potentially causing himself serious harm remains unclear.

The stunt is believed to be part of his preparations for a new film role or music video, with Leto apparently holding a conference with several people outside the hotel during his first attempt to scale the wall.

A tripod and stool stood nearby, while one person held up a large reflective sheeting for additional light, suggesting a production crew was on site to film his exploits.

According to TMZ, he was accompanied on his first attempt in Berlin by internet personality Younes Zarou, known for his illusion TikTok videos.

Leto is known for his love of climbing and once revealed that he almost fell 180 meters while climbing Red Rock in Nevada when his safety rope began to fray.

In 2020, the actor recounted a harrowing experience when he fell off a wall while climbing a cliff with professional climber Alex Honnold.

“Not to sound dramatic, but that’s the day I almost died. “Spent a pretty good fall climbing with @alexhonnold at Red Rock,” he began in the caption of two photos and a short video from the scene.

“I looked up and within seconds the rope was cut by the rock as I dangled about 600 feet in the air.”

“I remember looking at the ground below. “It was a strange moment – less fear, more objectivity and a little melancholy,” he said.

“The adrenaline only came when I was back on the wall. But we got through it and lived to see another day.’

With some time to let the experience sink in, Leto added, “Overall, it was really fun.” We climbed further into the night.
