Jason Derulo sued for sexual harassment – TVA Nouvelles

Jason Derulo is being sued for sexual harassment by a singer he allegedly signed a contract with.

The complaint was filed Thursday by Emaza Gibson. She claims Jason Derulo tricked her into signing a record deal with the intention of having sex with her.

“I’m scared, I’m traumatized,” Emaza Gibson, 25, told NBC News. “I was faced with inhumane work situations… I’m back to square one and have nothing.”

In the complaint obtained by Page Six, Emaza Gibson claims the Glad U Came singer made inappropriate sexual advances toward her during their collaboration. The young woman states that she was contacted by Jason Derulo in 2021 to work with him. The contract stipulated that she had to release a single with him within four months, produce a mixtape and complete an album within six months.

Emaza Gibson said that while she was working with Jason Derulo, he repeatedly invited her to a members-only lounge for drinks and dinner. She claimed she refused to keep the relationship professional.

Emaza Gibson said she agreed to go out for drinks with the artist in September 2021 and said she was given “inappropriate amounts of alcohol,” the complaint says.

“I told him I’m not a drinker… It’s like he didn’t listen to me the first time to keep pressuring me,” the complainant said.

Emaza Gibson added that Jason Derulo exhibited aggressive behavior in November 2021. She cited an incident where the star introduced her to a woman named Rosa, who had an intimate relationship with the artist. In her complaint, Emaza Gibson claims that Jason Derulo also made her listen to his music. She said that when she told the producer that she had been “unsettled” by Rosa, Jason Derulo “lost control and started aggressively hitting her on the armrests and screaming, ‘What does she have to do with you?’ We have nothing to say to you! You.’ I don’t need to know anything!”

According to Page Six, Emaza Gibson is also suing Jason Derulo for intimidation, wrongful termination and breach of contract.
