According to information from the broadcaster ESPN, it is possible that the number 62 will hang up his cleated shoes after the prestige meeting.
Who will play in the center position will make a final decision before the start of next season.
“I know that [la retraite] come, he said. It’s getting closer and closer every day. I’m just trying to take advantage of this moment now and attack it when it happens,” Kelce said during a media presence last week.
Last year, the former University of Cincinnati Bearcats considered ending his career. He did, however, sign a one-year deal worth $14 million.
Kelce stressed that he would not make his decision after the outcome of the most important game of the year.
“I don’t think winning this game will decide whether I want to continue playing football or not,” he added.
Should Travis’ brother ever decide to retire from the competition, the Eagles have ample opportunity to replace the NFL’s highest-earning center position player.
In addition to the two first-round picks they have on the bench for the next draft, Philadelphia have a promising young player in the position who they drafted in the second round last year, Cam Jurgens.
In 12 full seasons with the City of Brotherly Love team, Kelce was named to the Goodell Tour First Team All-Star five times.
