Jason Momoa says he and his estranged wife Lisa Bonet are “still family”

Jason Momoa insisted that he and former Lisa Bonet were “still a family.”

The actor made the comment while taking his two children with Lisa – 14-year-old daughter Lola and 13-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf – to the Batman premiere to support stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz (Lisa’s daughter with singer Lenny Kravitz).

The Aquaman actor and the former star of the Cosby show announced their separation in January after 16 years together.

Bonet did not participate in the event.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Jason said: “We’re just so proud.

“Lisa couldn’t be here, so we represent me and the babies. We are very excited to just be here… It’s still a family, you know?

Zoe – who portrays the Catwoman in Batman – is the only child of Lisa and musician Lenny Kravitz, 57.

Despite their separation, the couple, who married in 2017, continues to love each other.

A source told the publication: “They had a lot of love for each other when they separated, and apparently they still do.”

Jason, 42, and Lisa, 54, said they had given up in a joint statement, explaining that although they parted romantically amid the COVID-19 pandemic, “the love between [them] continues, ”and they wanted to set an example for their children by freeing each other.

“And so – we share our family news – that we are splitting up in marriage.

“We share this not because we think it is worthy of news, but so that we can do it with dignity and honesty as we live our lives.

“The love between us continues, it develops in ways that it wants to be known and experienced. We liberate each other – to be what we learn to become … “

He concluded: “Our devotion to this sacred life, our children, is unwavering. To teach our children what is possible – to live in prayer, for love to prevail.
