Jay Cutler Responds to Kristin Cavallari Calling Their Marriage ‘Toxic’

Jay Cutler called ex-Kristin Cavallari’s recent rant about her marriage “weird”.

“I kind of avoided all that,” the former NFL quarterback told podcast host Sofia Franklin on Sofia with an F, when she asked him if he had anything to say about his ex’s comments.

“If she wants to say things, she can say things. I will not go this way because of her. I mean, she’s still the mother of my kids.”

Jay CutlerJay Cutler refused to speak out against Kristin Cavallari even after she called their marriage “toxic.”

The 35-year-old Hills grad was married to Cutler from 2013 to 2020 and they have three children together, sons Camden, 9, and Jaxon, 8, and daughter Saylor, 6.

Earlier this month, she appeared on an episode of the Call Your Daddy podcast and opened up about her marriage, revealing that she broke off her engagement before the wedding.

“Basically, I called off the engagement [for] I got divorced for the same reason, and I think if there’s one takeaway from that is that you can’t ignore red flags,” Cavallari said. “People don’t change, and you have to trust your gut feeling.”

The Uncommon James designer also admitted she was “really unhappy” and in an “unhappy relationship,” ending it in part because she didn’t want her kids to think it was “normal.”

In another interview, she called the divorce “the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Cutler tried to sound confident about the whole post-marriage quarterback.

“If that’s how she feels,” he said, before realizing that he found all the chatter odd.

“But I don’t understand either,” he continued. “It’s been two and a half years (since the marriage ended). Why are we having these conversations?”
