Jay-Z Receives $7.2 Million Payment!!! Complete the Parlux Perfume Saga

Jay Z is at least $7 million richer than he was a day ago, and the money means he can finally put a legal battle that has lasted more than seven years behind him.

TMZ Hip Hop learned that Paralux Fragrances remitted $7,259,061.31 to Jay’s team on Wednesday — what the company owed him after losing the lawsuit filedBack in January 2016, he claimed the mogul had failed to meet his promotional obligations for Cologne’s Gold Jay-Z.

As we reported, a jury decided in favor of Jay More than a year ago, however, Parlux had filed an appeal… which it lost last week. As a result, the company was ordered to pay the court-ordered $6.8 million plus interest.

Here’s a quick rundown of how long the Parlux fight dragged on: At the time the lawsuit was filed, Jay-Z was worth approximately $610 million, according to Forbes. Seven years later he has more than quadrupled that number!!!

While $7 million would be like winning the lottery for most of us, for someone as successful as Jay, it’s a drop in the bucket.

TMZ ran the story… he and Beyonce just paid $200 million – CASH, no less – for it new mansion in Malibu. It’s the most expensive real estate deal in California history and the second largest in US history, plus they also have a $100 million home in Bel-Air.

So, ultimately, $7.2 million should cover LA County’s high property taxes… for about a year.
