The Boston Celtics suffered a blow when Jaylan Brown relinquished a 107-98 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday with an ankle sprain. It was Brown dropped out by the end of the matchbut the good news is that he didn’t seem too lame as he made his way to the locker room on his own.

This is where the injury happened.

Celtics Name Udoka then examined Brown’s ankle in more detail after his victory.

“He unscrewed it. “Obviously there is a little swelling and soreness,” Udoka said. “He tried to give back experience and wanted to come back and play, but we just thought about the big picture and where we are this season, and be smart. We’ll know more in the next few days, but he tried to try it and it still hurts and swells. ”

Although there is no schedule to offer, Udoka remained optimistic, this will not be a long-term problem for Brown, although the team says he is unlikely to play on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies.

“He left on his own and then tried to get in from behind, so you don’t hope. But we will evaluate it in the next few days. It doesn’t look like that, but you never know how it can change overnight with swelling and pain. ”

Obviously, the Celtics can’t stay long without Brown. Again, the injury didn’t seem too serious, but even a week or more would be difficult for Boston. The Celtics are tied with the Raptors in the losing streak for No. 6 so far, with both teams in action and the playoffs on the other side.
