Jedd Fisch is working quickly to assemble his staff in Washington.

According to team sources, a plane carrying nine of his former Arizona staffers – including his entire offensive staff – boarded a plane bound for Seattle on Monday afternoon. Passengers expected to accompany Fisch on the flight from Washington include: offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Brennan Carroll, QB coach Jimmie Dougherty, running backs coach Scottie Graham, wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings, tight ends -Coach/Special Teams Coordinator Jordan Paopao and strength coach Tyler Owens along with defensive coaches John Richardson (cornerbacks) and Jason Kaufusi (fullbacks/defensive ends).

Matt Doherty, Arizona's director of player personnel, is also on the flight to Seattle.

Carroll, the 44-year-old son of former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, was interviewed for the head coaching job at Arizona on Monday, according to multiple team sources.

The group was the core that helped Fisch turn Arizona from a program that had lost 12 straight games before he took over to one that won 10 games in its third season and was ranked No. 11 in the country. Fisch was hired by Washington on Sunday to replace new Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer, agreeing to a seven-year deal averaging $7.75 million per year, according to a person familiar with the search.

Fisch gives the Huskies another offensive-minded coach who has turned a program around. Even though Washington was playing for the national championship just a week ago, Fisch will have his hands full, especially with the roster. Eighteen of the 22 starters from that national championship run have either lost eligibility, declared for the NFL Draft or entered the transfer portal. These include star quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and receiver Rome Odunze in the NFL.
