Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez take a helicopter ride to his superyacht in Portofino

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancee Lauren Sanchez were spotted having lunch on the deck of their new $500 million superyacht in Portofino, Italy, on Monday.

The newly engaged couple and their children arrived in style as they helicoptered onto the Koru’s $75 million supply ship, which featured a helipad.

Sanchez, 53, stunned in a form-fitting black racerback dress with thigh-high slits down each leg.

She finished off her Italian vacation look with a pair of black platform wedge sandals and what appeared to be a red Hermès Kelly bag.

The starting price for a Kelly is around $10,000, but the coveted handbags can sell for $100,000 or more, depending on the style.

The former news anchor wore her raven hair around her shoulders and her long locks swept in the wind – along with the hem of her dress – as she stepped off the helicopter and boarded her husband-to-be’s yacht.

Bezos, 59, meanwhile, was dressed casual in a dark T-shirt and jeans.

The lovebirds were spotted embracing on board the yacht before sitting down for an intimate family meal on the ship’s deck, which was covered to protect them from the blazing afternoon sun.

All three of Sanchez’s children appeared to be with them.

The Black Ops Aviation founder has a 22-year-old son, Nikko Gonzales, with former NFL star Tony Gonzales.

She also has two younger children with her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, a son, Evan Whitesell, 17, and a daughter, Eleanor Whitesell, 15.

When Sanchez and Bezos tie the knot, she will become stepmother to his four children, whom he shares with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott.

It’s unclear exactly when the couple first got together, but their affair was exposed by the National Enquirer in January 2019.

Soon after, the entrepreneur and investor separated from Scott, his wife of over 25 years. After their divorce, Scott became one of the richest women in the world with a four percent stake in Amazon.

Sanchez was married to Whitesell when her relationship with Bezos came to light. It was reportedly her then-husband who introduced her to Bezos in the first place.

Whitesell, himself a powerful man, is CEO of Endeavour, the parent company of talent agency William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME).

Bezos and Scott finalized their divorce in April 2019 — the same month that Sanchez and Whitesell ended their marriage.

The pair made their first public appearance together in May 2019 before flying to St Barts for the holidays.

As the third richest man in the world, Bezos is no stranger to taking his lover on lavish vacations, but this will likely be a summer for the books.

The couple was seen kissing and snogging aboard the Koru, while Sanchez wore a huge jewel on her ring finger – sparkling proof that she’d said yes.

They were off the coast of Cannes at the time, enjoying a Mediterranean odyssey and the maiden voyage of Bezos’ superyacht.

At 417 feet long and 230 feet tall, the Koru is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world, complete with a 250-foot supply vessel that has its own helipad.

The couple flew to Europe on a private jet and were first spotted on the deck of the floating villa on May 18.

Her voyage on the yacht, named Koru after the Maori word for ‘new beginning’, comes more than five years after she entered service.

Known then as “Project 721”, the ship was built by sailboat specialists Oceanco in the historic port of Zwijndrecht near Rotterham in the Netherlands.

Previous designs include the 350ft Black Pearl, an all-black aluminum sailing yacht designed for Russian billionaire Oleg Burlakov, who died of Covid in 2021 and whose family still owns the ship.

The Koru is the second largest sailing ship in the world, surpassed only by the Philippe Starcke-designed Sailing Yacht A, owned by Russian fertilizer billionaire Andrey Melnichenko.

Bezos may be paying homage to Sanchez with the megayacht, which has a wooden carving of a Roman goddess carved into the bow that bears a striking resemblance to his bride-to-be.

It’s unclear when the gilded sculpture became part of the ship’s design, but it was commissioned in 2018, a year before their affair was exposed.

The yacht was finally handed over to Bezos in April after completing sea trials in February.

Last year, before Koru was even launched, the sheer size of her masts sparked international controversy when Rotterdam announced that the center section of the 100-year-old Koningshaven Bridge would be removed to allow the superyacht to make its way north can sea.

Bezos had reportedly said he would pay for the bridge to be demolished and rebuilt, but his request was denied.

Locals have launched a petition to throw rotten eggs at the boat on its maiden voyage, which has garnered thousands of signatures.

Responding to the backlash, Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb said no permit had been requested and the masts were eventually installed downstream in the port of Rotterdam.

The three-masted schooner yacht was finally delivered at the end of April and sailed from the Netherlands to Mallorca via Gibraltar.

In addition to a private submarine, Koru sails a smaller 250-foot supply ship outfitted with a helipad and stocked with a collection of speedboats and supercars for Bezos and Sanchez to enjoy.

The nave, painted midnight blue with gold accents, has three decks, a pool and a huge sundeck.

The interior is reportedly inspired by Eos, a 305-foot yacht owned by former Fox CEO Barry Diller that costs $25 million a year to maintain.
