Jeff Bezos’ old Amazon review of ‘Milk’ goes viral, Elon Musk reacts

Jeff Bezos' old Amazon review of

Between 2000 and 2006, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos reviewed products on the e-commerce site. In these six years, the tech billionaire has tested six products. Now an old review by Mr Bezos has resurfaced online and caught the attention of SpaceX and Tesla boss Elon Musk.

The Amazon founder reviewed a bottle of Tuscan Dairy Whole Vitamin D Milk in 2006. He wrote on the e-commerce site: “I love milk so much that I have been drinking it since the day I was born. I don’t think so.” It was Tuscan, though.

A screenshot of this product review was shared by user Trung Phan on microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter. “Jeff Bezos has 9 product reviews on Amazon… including this gem on a jug of Tuscan milk,” he wrote in the caption. Mr. Musk responded with a laughing face emoji.

This hilarious review sparked a lot of reactions on social media. “Legend. Oatly would pay him a lot of money to switch lol,” one user said.

“Could you buy milk on Amazon in 2006?” wrote one surprised user.

“I actually kind of respect that he just stopped writing reviews but still left his milk. Keep looking forward, never look back,” one person commented.

Another added: “Bezos gave a much more positive review of Tuscan Milk than the average reviewer!”

“Haha, I love it! Despite all his success, it’s great to see Jeff Bezos taking the time to have a little fun with the review. You have to appreciate the little things,” someone remarked.

According to Amazon, Mr. Bezos’ oldest review is of the 1997 Oscar-winning film “Life is Beautiful.” This review was published by the tech billionaire on March 17, 2000. He rated the Italian film five stars and said, “This film is absolutely everything it’s supposed to be. Hysterically funny and tear-jerking at the same time – it’s ultimately very uplifting. The cinematography is also fantastic – amazing use of color. The DVD is optionally dubbed in English, but I highly recommend using the subtitles instead so you can hear Benigni’s great acting and passion. It’s a shame the DVD doesn’t contain any deleted scenes. With Benigni, I think it would be particularly fun to see out-takes. Absolutely a great film! “
