The couple’s busy week comes after they recently visited Colombia, from where they were reportedly due to fly out on Friday.

In the South American country, they visited Chiribikete National Park, the largest rainforest national park in the world, with President Ivan Duque Marquez and his wife Maria.

During the trip, they pledged to continue the Bezos Earth Foundation’s commitment to protecting 30 percent of the planet’s land and sea by 2030, according to Sanchez’s Instagram.

Elsewhere, the Amazon founder is said to be in talks with Pete Davidson for Saturday Night Live Star to accompany him into space.

According to a Page Six report, Davidson, 28, is close to an agreement to board a Blue Origin flight with Bezos to spend just over 10 minutes 100km above the Earth’s surface.

“Pete is thrilled,” a source close to the comedian told the publication last week, although they noted that it’s not quite a settled case yet.

“They have not signed a contract yet, but it looks like it will happen. Details are being finalized,” they continued.

Davidson previously had a chance to bond with the billionaire in late January when he and girlfriend Kim Kardashian joined the space tourism leader at his $175 million mansion in Los Angeles.

The source added that the comic “gets along really well” with Bezos during their dinner party.

With details yet to be agreed upon, it is not known exactly when it could fly into space, but a source said Blue Origin is planning a launch this year.

Bezos first flew into space back in July 2021 on a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket.

He was joined on this first flight by female pilot Wally Funk, who became the oldest person to fly into space at the age of 82.

The billionaire also brought along his brother Mark, as well as 18-year-old Dutch student Oliver Deimen, who was chosen at the last minute after another guest had a scheduling conflict that forced them to make a later space flight.

Bezos, who is worth $175.5 billion on Feb. 1, is the third richest person in the world after Tesla owner Elon Musk, who ousted him from the top spot with $242.6 billion, and Bernard Arnault, who oversees the empire from 70 brands including Louis Vuitton and Sephora, according to Forbes.

The Amazon founder first became a billionaire in 1998, a year after Amazon became a public online bookseller, and has since increased his fortune by 12,425% – he now makes over $140,000 a minute.

Nearly 90 percent of his fortune is tied to his 10 percent stake in Amazon — each share is currently worth $3,540.70, with the rest of his money invested in other businesses like Blue Origin and real estate.

Since stepping down as Amazon CEO last July, he has made several highly publicized donations, including to the Obama Foundation and Baby2Baby.

Shortly before Thanksgiving, he donated $100 million to the Obama Foundation, which has become the largest charitable organization. Last November, he pledged nearly $100 million to groups working to end homelessness.

Bezos’ real estate portfolio has recently grown to astronomical heights, adding more than $100 million thanks to two high-profile real estate purchases in Hawaii and Manhattan.
