And no, not everyone quoted in his hundreds of documents (either extensively or in passing), such as Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, David Copperfield or Stephen Hawking, has anything illegal or did immoral things. Some didn't even know him. But that no longer mattered to the eternal liars who populate the network in the few days in which false reports spread freely.
The story of the millionaire pedophile Epstein, who, together with his lover, girlfriend and girlfriend, Madame Maxwell (it is not clear what they were, and she herself does not know how she confessed) founded a whole organization for the sexual abuse of minors directed, is juicy for the press, enough for a series, if it weren't for the nightmare story it tells. Private islands, excursions by helicopter or plane called “Lolita”, parties in villas… A scenario that could seem like something out of a love and luxury film, were it not for the decades-long abuse network that has been uncovered for almost two years, and that is thanks to these days The release of 40 legal documents on January 3rd and another 160 more on the 4th and 5th are more fashionable than ever.

Thousands of pages that few have read but that so many have begun to comment on and on which names have appeared that are not there or, if so, do not always imply suspicion against the person mentioned. Especially in the United States, the birthplace of hoaxes and the many believers who want to unleash their hatred against almost every public figure, names and stories quickly appeared in the documents. Soon, images of actor Tom Hanks dancing with a yarmulke on his head and a tallit on his shoulders were seen, with what appeared to be a CNN sign saying he had converted to Judaism and “after the list was published.” Epstein's clients fled to Israel.” Initially, there is no list, but the documents don't even mention Hanks. Oprah Winfrey does not appear in the documents, nor has she taken any action to appear in them, as some media outlets willing to get clicks with these lies grab headlines. It is true that in the middle of a promotional campaign for her film “The Color Purple” (a remake of Spielberg's 1985 film – which also does not appear on paper), the presenter and producer closed the comments on her Instagram account With 23 million followers, seems to be immune to false reports and accusations. There is also no connection between her and Michael Jackson, whom a victim of Epstein's network simply remembers in Palm Beach, in the pedophile's villa, but with whom she had no relationship. Neither football coach Mikel Arteta nor the recently deceased actor Matthew Perry appear in the documents, nor as passengers on the flights. It's just fake news and more fake news.
Everything or almost everything has been known about Epstein for years. Their abuse, their connections, their wealth, their goings-on, their proximity to power. His old friendship with Donald Trump from the 1990s also became known when they were seen laughing together at parties. The former president himself said years ago that he was “a great guy.” “You have a lot of fun with him. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, many of them young,” he said. They were different times. The late scientist Stephen Hawking was exposed by an email that, among other things, misspelled his name. It is the 14th document of the 40 originals, an email from Epstein – quickly written and full of typos – to Ghislaine Maxwell with a few lines saying: “A reward may be offered to any of Virginia's friends, acquaintances and family members .” [Giuffre] to come forward and help her prove her allegations are false. Johanna Sjoberg and Virginia Giuffre are two of the network's main victims, making longer and more forceful statements and naming more names. It is Giuffre who accuses Prince Andrew of England, the third son of Elizabeth II, of abusing her when she was a minor; took him to court, but two years ago they agreed to an out-of-court settlement. His name is clearly in the documents, with dates and facts. In her statement, Giuffre even speaks of there being “another prince” and also of a “Spanish president” whose name she does not remember, but about whom she provides information: “He is Spanish, tall, dark-haired, he had a foreigner accent. Man. I would say about 40 years.” He thinks he remembers the meeting taking place in the early 2000s in New Mexico in the southern United States, where Epstein owned a ranch. However, she speaks Spanish, and that term does not always mean Spain in the US, but can be Hispanic or Latin American.
In the statements there are names, addresses and even telephone numbers, often public, but also words, phrases and even entire pages with data and names of people that remain hidden. The documents released by Judge Loretta A. Preska will provide answers, but not a list of famous names in compromising situations, perpetrators, friends of Epstein or a clientelistic network.
