The 32-year-old Teen Mom OG star revealed to TMZ that she was the victim of an attempted break-in at her North Carolina home.

The burglary attempt comes at a pretty tumultuous time for Evans and her family, as her husband David Eason is reportedly planning to file for divorce.

Speaking about her manager Austin Keen, Evans told TMZ: “With everything that's already going on, this couldn't have happened at a worse time.”

“Me and my children are safe, but the local community and police are somewhat shaken and are doing everything they can to ensure the arrest of this person,” she added.

“I will soon reveal the details of what exactly happened that night,” she revealed in the statement.

“At this time we ask for prayers and privacy until I and my family recover from this horrific experience.” “Thank you to everyone who is helping us catch this perpetrator,” Evans concluded.

The Columbus County Sherrif's Office confirmed there was an attempted break-in at her home.

The Sherrif's Office added that a deputy responded to Evans' home for a call about a burglary, but the suspect had already fled by the time he arrived.

The unknown man attempted to enter through the back of the house but was unable to get in.

He then entered Evans' garage and began throwing some of her personal items from the garage onto her lawn.

The deputy reported that no items were missing from the home, although the lock on the back door the man tried to enter through was broken.

This comes after a report on Friday revealed that her husband David Eason is planning to file for divorce from Evans after she reportedly kicked him and his 16-year-old daughter Maryssa out of their home.

This also comes after Evans was reunited with her eldest son Jace, 14, who was removed from her home by Child Protective Services after Eason allegedly assaulted Jace in September 2023.

Janelle said she would hold off on sharing case details for now, emphasizing that Jace's mental well-being is her priority.

“I would appreciate it if everyone would respect my son's privacy so he can get his mental health under control,” she said, adding that “someone is already leaking information.”

She said it was likely Jace's father, Andrew Lewis, or her mother, Barbara Evans, as they were the “only two people who knew the information.”
