Jennifer Aniston: Excessive exercise was bad for her health

Jennifer Aniston thinks she “broke her body” through exercise. The actress of Friends confessed that she had exhausted herself from the constant, excruciatingly intense exercise.

“When you’re in that mindset and you’re like, ‘I have to do 45 minutes of cardio or I haven’t had a good workout,’ it’s intimidating,” said the 54-year-old. I’ve believed in it for so long. I exhausted myself and wrecked my body.”

She revealed that her psychotherapist gave her a Barbie doll that was “covered in kinesio tape” to “show off all the injuries” she had sustained over the past 15 years.

The Polly and Me actress says she’s replaced her intense workouts with a less intense home workout regimen with fitness brand Pvolve, who she now works with.

In an interview for Cosmopolitan, she explained what inspired her to always keep up to date. “One time an agent mentioned that I was a little chubby, chubby. “Anyway, I’ve become a lot more careful not to eat egg salad sandwiches and tuna sandwiches and fries with gravy and all those things that I ate all the time as a teenager,” she explained. And then I got really addicted to exercise, mindful eating, and healthy foods that change every year. It’s always changing: what’s best for you, what’s good for you, what’s not good for you? And then you’re like, “Oh, isn’t it good for you now?” And what is good for you? “They’re just trying to keep up.”
