This comes after Mike hinted at plans for a possible Australian edition of the hit series at a press conference at Sydney’s Vivid Festival this week.
“My dream would be to hit every continent, so yeah, it’s basically like a continent of its own,” he said.
“We’ve got to get to Australia somehow if we’re going to continue.” It would be so much fun. ‘
He added, “Obviously there is a huge wealth of talent here and the beauty is undeniable, so it feels like she ticks all the boxes.”

Mike went on to explain that popular Australian actor Murray Bartlett, who played hotel manager Armond, could return to the series if the series decided to make a prequel to the first season.
“I absolutely think that’s possible, we were just talking about it,” he said, adding that Jennifer, who was killed off in season two, could come back for a prequel as well.
“That’s a fun idea.” And it would be fun to make Jennifer 20 years younger, too. “We can bring Murray Bartlett back,” Mike said.
While a fourth season could arrive in Australia after the Hawaii and Italy seasons, The White Lotus will reportedly be set in Thailand for the upcoming third season.

White, the creator and sole writer-director of the hit HBO series, has been exploring the Southeast Asian country for the past few weeks, multiple sources told Variety.
Jackass star Johnny Knoxville – a friend of White’s – previously sparked speculation that the series could be set in Tokyo after mentioning that the two had spent some time in the metropolis, although White’s real focus appeared to be elsewhere in Asia .
White had previously hinted the season would be played in Asia and no longer named Japan, although it’s unclear if his focus shifted or if Thailand was long the intended venue.
HBO declined to comment on the location.
He added, “Obviously there is a huge wealth of talent here and the beauty is undeniable, so it feels like she ticks all the boxes.”

No ensemble cast details for Season 3 have been announced yet, but there will likely be a mostly new cast of stars.
However, there were recurring characters in the second season, played by Jon Gries and Jennifer Coolidge.
The previous two seasons were set at fictional White Lotus hotels, but filming took place on the premises of Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii and Sicily.
Variety noted that the luxury hotel chain has four locations across Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and the Golden Triangle.

White telegraphed an Asian site in a post-episode interview on HBO Max by hinting that the next season will be about “death and Eastern religion and spirituality.”
“The first season was kind of about money, and then the second season is about sex,” he explained.
“I think the third season might be a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.” “It feels like doing another round at White Lotus could be a rich carpet,” he said.
