Jennifer Lopez threw Ben Affleck a “lavish” birthday, as he celebrated his 50th birthday on August 15. The newlyweds, who tied the knot in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas on July 16, continued the celebrations as Ben celebrated his milestone.

“J.Lo and Ben were able to kill two birds with one stone by taking the kids to NYC for Ben’s 50th birthday,” a source told EXCLUSIVE HollywoodLife after the couple was spotted with all of their children in the Big Apple. All three of Ben’s children with whom he shares Jennifer Garner were in tow incl violet16, Seraphina13, Samuel8, and Jen’s twins, which she shares with ex MarcAnthony; Emme and Max10

“Ben’s kids got to spend time with their dad, which was very important to him, and their kids got to do the same,” the insider continued. “Aside from the birthday celebrations, they all had to take care of some last-minute wedding-related tasks.”

As we previously reported, the Let’s Get Loud singer, 53, and the Batman star are planning a second wedding to take place at Ben’s Georgia estate. “The kids all had to be adjusted for the upcoming wedding and she also had to make some changes to her dress. J.Lo took the kids to the Broadway play without him and she took Violet shopping mountain village“Because she feels these are important things that the kids should experience,” the pal added.

“J.Lo also wanted to show the kids where she grew up and introduce them to some of her family members in NYC. It’s her territory and she loves it there,” the source continued. “Last night she had planned a lavish party for him, which was also attended by some of her family members. They had some loose ends to sew up related to the wedding, including a food tasting, and also to work out some travel prep details with their people there.”

Meanwhile, the happy couple are reportedly getting ready for a three-day event at Ben’s sprawling Georgia estate, located outside of Savannah. It starts with a rehearsal dinner on August 19, as reported by Page Six. The actual wedding will take place on Sunday 21st August. “It’s going to be all about J.Lo,” an insider reportedly told the outlet. “Ben wants her big day to be all the focus.” HollywoodLife has reached out to their sales reps for comment but has not yet received a response.
