The “On the Floor” singer was in the middle of filming her upcoming album “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” when her financial partners pulled the rug out from under her. “We had the financing but it fell through. “They pulled out at the last minute, and that leaves us wondering if we'll do a video or start this project,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Instead of trying to find financing from another source at the last minute or reducing the production of a feature film to just a music video, JLo decided to simply pay for the whole thing out of her own pocket. Even if it seemed crazy. “Everyone thought I was crazy when I said that,” JLo admitted.

The star explained that the film follows her love story with her husband Ben Affleck. He was involved in the production, but he and Jennifer remained very discreet about the exact nature of his role. “I didn’t want to tell the story of Ben and I because people know it,” the singer said. I wanted to do something different. So we looked at how we could translate that visually: singing, dancing and having fun in a larger-than-life way.”

Numerous celebrities will appear in the film, including Jane Fonda, Trevor Noah, Fat Joe, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Jay Shetty, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Kim Petras.

This Is Me… Now: A Love Story will be available on Amazon Prime starting February 16th.
