In a recent stage performance at the LA Dodgers Blue Diamond Gala, 14yearold Emme Muñiz wowed audiences by singing alongside her mother, Jennifer Lopez. The singer introduced Emme with neuter pronouns — suggesting she’s a nonbinary person.
“I keep asking her to sing with me, but she won’t!” said Jennifer. “Elu” would be the closest translation of the pronoun used by the artist. Nonbinary is a term used to define a person who does not recognize themselves as either male or female. “So this is a very special occasion. Elu is very, very busy. He’s always on schedule and expensive! But Elu is worth every penny because he’s my absolute favorite duet partner,” JLo continued.
The duo performed the song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. Emme held a rainbowcolored microphone. The video went viral on social media and JLo received critical acclaim for her attitude.
Emme Maribel and Max David are the twin children of the singer and her exhusband, singer and actor Marc Anthony.
