WATCH: Jeremy Renner surprises the staff at the hospital where he was treated
Jeremy Renner expressed his deepest gratitude to those who helped him during his near-fatal snowplow accident a year after the incident.
In an Instagram post on Friday, the two-time Oscar-nominated actor shared a picture of himself sitting in a RennerVation Foundation fire truck while recounting his visit to Reno Hospital in Nevada, where he was hospitalized for his accident last year was treated.
“Rolling through Reno, NV with joy, blessings and 🍕!!!!” he wrote in the caption. “I stopped by to see children/superheroes, first responders, and doctors, nurses, and staff at the Reno Hospital. I pay my respects and celebrate the love, life and blessings it brings to all of us.”
“Thank you and this community for keeping me here. I am forever indebted to you #loveandtitanium,” he added.
Renner suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” when he was run over by his unmanned snow groomer, a seven-ton snow plow device, on Jan. 1, 2022, in Reno, Nevada, officials said. He was flown to a local hospital and underwent emergency surgery on January 2nd.

After being released from the hospital, the Hawkeye actor revealed that he had broken more than 30 bones in the accident.
Last month, the Marvel star announced via an Instagram post that he would be releasing a “new musical diary” called “Wait” to mark the anniversary, which will be the “story of life, death, recovery and everything learned along the way “documents the New Year’s accident.
“I can’t wait to share more with you. #waitforme #laketahoe,” he added in the caption.
Appearing on “Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph,” which aired in April, Renner said he considers himself “lucky” for surviving the accident and largely recovering from it have recovered.
Renner also thanked his family for their help in dealing with the emotional and physical pain he has suffered since the accident.
“This is what I talk to my family about from all the terrible perspectives that I present to them,” he said at the time. “What we just endured – that is true love. It is suffering – but that nourishes the seed of what love is.”
