Jeremy Renner has been allowed home from hospital to recover after a snowplow accident left him “worse than anyone knows” – and he’s already warning others to stay “safe” in the deep Nevada snows.
The 52-year-old Mayor of Kingstown star announced Monday night that he made it home in time to watch the second season of his crime drama air after being nearly crushed to death by his 14,330-pound snowplow on New Year’s Day .
Renner shared the good news in a promotional tweet for the series that aired on Sunday.
“Out of my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home,” Renner wrote.
The news comes a day after friends revealed Renner’s injuries are far worse than feared and that he “almost bled to death” and “almost died” while waiting for help to arrive.

The Hawkeye star seems eager to get back in the snow at his Lake Tahoe property.
Renner posted two pictures to Instagram from Nevada on Monday — one of snow-covered rooftops with a message saying he missed his “happy place” and another warning people to “be safe,” along with a picture of a snow-covered road.
The actor is reportedly aware of the extent of his injuries and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Friends say it could be up to two years before he’s back in fighting shape.
‘It’s a lot worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there,” a source told RadarOnline.
“The right side of Jeremy’s chest was shattered and his torso collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.’
“It is said that the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so extensive that it had to be surgically reconstructed.”
Emergency services had to transport the TV star to the hospital, where he later underwent surgery on January 2 to place metal pins around his legs, along with chest surgery.
“He has had two surgeries so far and will likely need more surgeries on his leg in the coming weeks. Doctors tend to postpone surgeries to allow time for the body’s natural healing process to kick in, and that’s the case here,” the source continued.
“Jeremy was in a lot of pain and had trouble breathing. He knew he was in bad shape and that he might not make it.’
As Renner’s recovery continues, he remains “drugged” and with “tubes” to help him breathe.

A few days after the accident, Renner took a selfie with notable bruising on his face and captioned it: “Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too confused to type now. But I send you all love.’
The star later shared a clip of herself being pampered by her supportive sister and mother while receiving a relaxing scalp massage.
“A ‘not great’ day in ICU turned into an amazing spa day with my sister and mom. Thank you so much,” he wrote in the caption of a tweet.
On Friday, the Marvel star shared hospital footage of what he appeared to be as he was brought in for either a CT scan or MRI on Friday.
Renner captioned the video, which saw him being wheeled to a large, high-tech imaging device, “I wish you all a very special night.”
