Jeremy Renner is getting stronger every day as seen in the two Instagram videos he shared today.
The 52-year-old star of ‘The Mayor of Kingstown’, ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Hawkeye’ is continuing to train for his comeback after an accident on Jan. 1 in which a 14,000-pound snowplow fell on him and broke more than 30 bones.
“UPDATE: I’ve decided to get over the pain of progression (that damn shattered shin) and take the new parts for a tiny test ride,” Renner said in the post’s caption.
“The body is a marvel… Although I feel like the tin man and need oil for all my new joints (hip, knee, ankle, shin, etc.),” Renner added. “Encouraged to keep going after this warm up (don’t tell my PT). 😂.”
Renner’s clip showed him using a machine-connected pulley system to work his leg muscles. He hopped sideways into a squat and then did a few sets of pull-ups with the pulley. He also ran and did a few more stretches before the video ended.
In a separate post, he is shown using a walker before clipping to himself, gently striding along while attempting to return to normal movement.
The videos drew cheers from the comments, including a message from Ryan Reynolds, who wrote, “This is the stuff!!!❤️❤️❤️.”
