Jesse Williams will pay less child support after Grey’s exit

Jesse Williams won’t be spending that much on child support, at least for now.

The actor’s monthly child support payments were “temporarily changed” to $6,413, according to court documents filed Thursday, People reports.

Last month, Williams petitioned the court to cut his $40,000 a month alimony to his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee because he is no longer appearing on Grey’s Anatomy.

“I am asking the court to reduce child support to a reasonable amount that I can afford given the significant reduction in my income and the now fluctuating nature of my income,” the 40-year-old actor said in court documents.

Williams left ABC’s medical drama in May 2021 after 12 seasons and is now starring in the Broadway revival of Richard Greenberg’s play Take Me Out.

He claimed in the documents that he now makes $1,668 a week, compared to his hefty Grey’s Anatomy paycheck, which totaled $6.2 million and $183,000 in residuals from the Shondaland hit amount.

He and Drake-Lee, 40, share joint custody of their two children: Sadie, 8, and Maceo, 6.

The couple split in 2017, but their nasty divorce wasn’t finalized until October 2020.

They have previously fought over custody and payments. In April 2021, they had to take part in “conflict-laden” parenting courses to teach them conflict-avoidance strategies when co-parenting.

Williams is currently winning raves for his Broadway debut as a gay baseball player, which comes out in “Take Me Out,” in which he has to strip.

“I was scared,” Williams told Page Six about appearing naked, “but then I realized I had asked God to do it. I asked to be startled. I asked to do something that was scary and challenging that made me deserve it and made me feel alive and uncomfortable.”
