Jessica Simpson was clearly feeling nostalgic this Tuesday as she headed into the new year after the holidays.
The 42-year-old music star posted an Instagram picture wrapped in what she revealed in her caption: “My 8th grade principal’s cheerleading jacket.”
Her little sister Ashlee Simpson, who followed Jessica into the music business, wrote in the comments: “Yes! Come on, Vikings!’ with a crying laughing emoji.

In an interview with Extra this September, Jessica shared advice she received from Lynda Carter, her The Dukes of Hazzard co-star.
Jessica recalled Lynda being like this: “I’ll always be Wonder Woman and be compared to Wonder Woman, and that’s what you’re doing here as Daisy Duke. Just know that the words ‘Daisy Duke’ will follow you for the rest of your career.”‘
On the family front, Jessica is married to her second husband, Eric Johnson, a former NFL player, with whom she shares Maxwell (10), Ace (9), and Birdie (3).
