Actress Mayim Bialik, best known for her role as Amy Farrah Fowler on the CBS series “The Big Bang Theory,” will not continue her role as host of the game show “Jeopardy!”, according to a post Saturday on the actress' Instagram account.
In her most recent post on the social media site, Bialik told her 5.1 million followers that she had been told she had lost Jeopardy! will no longer moderate. However, no specific reasons were given as to why such a decision was made.
“As the Hollywood holidays begin, I have some danger! News,” Bialik wrote. Sony informed me that I would like to watch the syndicated version of Jeopardy! I'll be hosting for a longer time now. I am truly honored to have been nominated for a Primetime Emmy for this year's hosting and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Jeopardy! Family.”
Bialik, who is Jewish, has long been a vocal supporter and advocate of Israel and the Jewish people.

In an apparent reference to the Book of Isaiah in the Hebrew Bible, Bialik added: “May we all see a day when the bloodshed will cease and we will no longer teach war,” before leading with the words “Am Yisrael Chai.” Hebrew completed.
Much of the Big Bang Theory actress and former Jeopardy! The host's Instagram page is full of Jewish and Israel-related content, with several recent posts dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. In a video show posted on Instagram on Friday, she can be seen with Jewish and Israeli human rights activist and author Noa Tishby. The two discussed the topic of anti-Semitism in the context of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
