This time the French beetles have won over the American audience of Jimmy Fallon’s evening talk show, as evidenced by an excerpt from his show published on X/Twitter.
In an irresistible parody of the President of the French Republic, the host, baguette in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other, makes use of all the French clichés and backs them up with an accent. To perfect his presidential impersonation, Jimmy Fallon wears a wide-open white shirt on a fake hairy chest, a nod to certain photos of Emmanuel Macron appearing in a (very) shirt during the 2022 election campaign. Allusions to Fashion Week, stars parading in Paris and bed bugs forcing people to avoid Airbnb, with softly sung words: France and Emmanuel Macron are in the hot seat. Which makes the Tonight Show audience laugh.
