Joaquin Phoenix, 48, and Rooney Mara, 38, were a casual couple as they attended the special screening of “The Smell of Money” in Los Angeles at the Laemmle Monica Film Center on Sunday.
The Joker star took to the microphone after the show dressed in a black T-shirt and matching pants.
His gray Converse actually matched the silver beard he sported for the event.
Meanwhile, the Nightmare Alley starlet looked absolutely beautiful in a black leather jacket and matching pants and blouse.
She had her dark auburn locks pulled back into a chic bun, showcasing her recognizable facial features.

The official Smell of Money Instagram page also posted snaps of the couple in a photo dump on their page, thanking Rooney and Joaquin for their support of the film.
“Special thanks to your hosts Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara. Their support for the film was incredible,” part of the caption read.
The documentary follows the plight of North Carolina locals and the struggles they endure near a large pork factory.
While Joaquin and Rooney do not narrate or star in the documentary, the pair have actually appeared in two films together.
They first met while filming the 2012 film Her, in which the petite beauty played Joaquin’s ex-lover.
