Writing about Taylor Swift could become a whole task for a journalist looking for a new job.

Gannett Co. has posted a job listing for a “Taylor Swift Reporter” to cover “all things Taylor Swift” for USA Today and The Tennessean. It went live on Tuesday.

The company put the hourly wage for the position at a range of $21.63 to $50.87.

The job posting states that the “Taylor Swift Reporter” must “capture the excitement surrounding Swift’s ongoing tour and upcoming album release, while providing thoughtful analysis of her music and career.”

Swift kicked off her Eras Tour, her first since before the pandemic, in March with a few shows in Arizona. The singer has performed a total of more than 50 shows so far in America and a few in Mexico, with more performances – both domestic and abroad – coming up.

Meanwhile, the re-recorded “Taylor’s Version” of “1989” will be released in late October, Swift announced in August. Once this album is released, it will most recently be preceded by “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”.

The “You Belong With Me” singer’s influence on pop culture and industry would also fall under the journalist’s purview, according to the Gannett ad.

Her tour has reportedly raised an incredible amount of money from ticket sales so far. Additionally, it has provided an economic boost to tourism, hospitality and other sectors in the cities she visited, as FOX Business previously reported.

Those applying for the Taylor Swift Reporter position should be an “energetic writer, photographer and social media professional” with half a decade of journalism under their belt, Gannett said in the listing. Apparently, a willingness and ability to travel outside the United States is also required.

The company described the job as either a remote job that could be based in most states or a job that would require the author to work from Northern Virginia, where the company is headquartered.
