Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Lauren posts a Father’s Day tribute featuring unpublished photos of the late MasterChef judge with his children

Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Laurern Fried shared a heartbreaking post to commemorate her first Father’s Day since her husband’s tragic death.

The MasterChef judge was found dead on May 1, aged 46, leaving behind four children: six-year-old Alfie and two-year-old Isla, who he shares with Lauren, as well as teenage daughters Ava and Sophia from his first two marriages.

Lauren posted a gallery of previously unseen photos of the chef spending quality time with his children on Jock’s Instagram page on Sunday.

She accompanied this with a bittersweet essay describing her late husband’s incredible bond with his brood, but decided to only mention Ava, Alfie and Isla by name.

“When I met Jock he had two daughters and then we gave birth to two beautiful babies together. There were 20 years between his first and last children, and for each of them he was a different person and a different parent,” began Lauren, who married Jock in 2017.

“The same thing was that he loved her beyond words and actions,” she added.

The advertising and media specialist went on to praise Jock for his playful approach to fatherhood.

“Jock never really grew up: he taught the kids to do things that would drive me crazy,” she wrote.

“From dipping their fried chicken straight INTO the gravy boat because that was the safest way to cover the entire surface, to the way you stuff an entire donut in their mouth at once, to being completely afraid of it, scaring me for a while “Laughing,” Lauren mused.

“There are roles I can take on, but this one – the sass that was his parenting superpower – is unique to him,” she added.

Tragically, Lauren also revealed that Jock’s dream was to become Nonno [grandfather in Italian]adding, “I wish he had that chance.”

Lauren concluded with a message to Jock’s children.

“Ava, Alfie and Isla – I’m so grateful that he left a little piece of himself in each of you.” “You are brave and strong and the only reason life will be wonderful again for all of us,” she concluded.

It’s unclear why Lauren didn’t mention Sophia’s name.

Jock died on May 1st, aged 46. He was buried at a private funeral in Sydney in May surrounded by 200 family and friends.

The media personality was scheduled to make several promotional appearances for Season 15 of MasterChef when he suddenly passed away.

Chron Australia can reveal that when police entered the hotel room to conduct a welfare check, officers assumed Zonfrillo had died of natural causes and found nothing to suggest otherwise.

According to sources, no drug paraphernalia was found in the hotel room either.

Following the tragic news, Zonfrillo’s fellow Masterchef judges Melissa Leong and Andy Allen withdrew from all media appearances to promote the cooking show’s return.
