Joe Biden gave contradictory answers during a press conference as part of a trip to Vietnam on Sunday, September 10, prompting the White House spokesman to end the session early. The American President was on a diplomatic visit to Vietnam after attending the G20 summit in India.
He gave a press conference in Hanoi where journalists asked him questions about Sino-American relations and the threat of nuclear war, BFMTV reported. And when it comes to climate change, Joe Biden starts to lose track: “You know, it’s… There’s… There’s a movie about John Wayne… He is an Indian Boy Scout. And they’re trying to bring… I think it was the Apaches… one… one of the great tribes of America into the reservation,” he replied, confused.
He goes on to explain his answer by saying that “there are many.” lying dog-faced pony soldiers (sic) about global warming“. He then gave more strange answers, telling a reporter, among other things: “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to bed.”.
After a moment, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre interrupted the president, who was raising the issue of the “Third World” and its stability. She ended the press conference over the loudspeaker while Joe Biden dropped his microphone before leaving the stage.
Among other things, a “Biden moment”.
The octogenarian, criticized by supporters of Republican Donald Trump for his age and moments of loneliness, is not his first attempt. He notably mentioned “100 deaths” from Covid, declared that he had cancer (before returning to his remarks) or read the instructions from the teleprompter that flashed in front of him during a televised address. He also confused “Iranians” with “Ukrainians” when raising the topic of the Russian invasion war.
He describes himself as “Stupid machine”, although he denies having any physical or mental health problems. On April 26, he said he was “feeling good,” seeking reassurance about his potential re-election bid in 2024.
