Joe Rogan calls Amber Heard a ‘crazy lady’ who’s ‘full of shit’ and sides with Johnny Depp

Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan has weighed in on the high-profile court case between actors and former spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, claiming the latter is “full of shit.”

Depp is suing Heard for defamation for $50 million plus attorneys’ fees, arguing that the abuse allegations she made in a 2018 essay published in The Washington Post were false and derailed his career.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star also claims he was the victim of abuse at the hands of Heard, who claims she was telling the truth in her article and is filing a $100 million counterclaim.

On Joe’s Tuesday podcast with fellow comedian Jessica Kirson, the pair opened the show by discussing the process, with Joe throwing himself into the “crazy” Heard.

‘That’s what happens to people like that. People who are just manipulative and full of shit,” he said.

‘[Comedian Doug Stanhope] knows her. Stanhope’s pal with Johnny Depp. He wrote something like an essay about how shitty she is and she threatened to sue him and I think he ended up having to take it back.

“He knows her well … He says, ‘She’s crazy like a crazy actress!’

Joe was referring to Heard’s claims that she used a special makeup kit from cosmetics brand Milani to cover up bruises Depp allegedly inflicted in 2016.

The brand denied their claims, pointing out that the makeup kit in question was only released after the couple’s divorce in 2017.

In the latest from the Depp Heard trial:

  • Johnny Depp’s former agent Christian Carino told the court about emails Heard sent him after she broke up with Elon Musk
  • Heard began dating the Tesla founder around the time of her split from Depp
  • Heard told Carino, “I hate it when things go public. See I’m so sad.’
  • “Again a man drops me onto the spikes alone,” Heard’s email read
  • Carino countered, “You could avoid all of that if you stopped dating overly famous people.”
  • Meanwhile, Depp’s bouncer Alejandro Romero made a “bizarre” statement
  • Depp burst out laughing as Romero described how Heard asked him to investigate an intruder over scratches on her front door – caused by the dog
  • Heard is expected to comment in days for her much-anticipated testimony

In the opening seconds of Tuesday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe said: “I’m watching this process and it’s a cautionary tale about believing in cops and forming a narrative in your head.

“That’s how I felt about Anthony Bourdain and his relationship with this crazy woman,” he said, citing the late chef and travel documentalist’s tumultuous relationship with Italian film star Asia Argento.

“You see all the crazies coming out,” he concluded.

Yesterday, Depp’s former agent Christian Carino told the court about emails Heard sent him after she broke up with Elon Musk.

Heard began dating the Tesla founder around the time of her split from Depp in May 2016, and by August of the following year they had split.

Carino, a talent agent for mega agency CAA and ex-fiancé to Lady Gaga, appeared through a pre-recorded video testimony and confirmed that Heard and Musk had been in a relationship for a while.

When asked if Heard moved on to Musk “immediately after Johnny Depp,” Carino said yes.

In an email dated August 7, 2017, Heard told Carino, “Dealing with the breakup. I hate it when things get public. Look, I’m so sad,” alluding to her breakup with Musk.

Carino replied to Heard: “You weren’t in love with him. You’ve told me a thousand times that you only feel space.’

In another email in the same conversation, she said, “I hate that once again a man is letting me fall on the spikes by myself.”

Carino said: “Why?”

Heard replied via email, “They are mad at me for leaving them and posting things like this,” in apparent reference to the story that was covered in the media.

Carino replied, “You could avoid all that if you stopped dating overly famous people.”

When asked what he meant in the email, Carino told the court he wanted to tell Heard, “If you don’t like being in the press about your personal life, don’t date famous people.”

Earlier in the day, Depp burst out laughing as his building’s doorman described how Amber Heard asked him to investigate an intruder over scratches on her front door – caused by the dog.

Alejandro Romero said Heard and her boyfriend, Rocky Pennington, told him that “someone was trying to break into my unit” at the Eastern Columbia Building in West Hollywood.

Appearing in a pre-recorded video testimony, Romero said he thought to himself, “What? Four inches off the (floor)? The dog scratched itself.”

He said, ‘In my head (I think) do you think someone is trying to scrape into your unit four inches off the ground?’

At this point, Depp started laughing and there was laughter in the stands.

Actor Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife actress Amber Heard (pictured yesterday) in Fairfax County Circuit Court for defamation after she wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post in 2018 in which she referred to herself as a "Public figure representing domestic violence."

Actor Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard (pictured yesterday) in Fairfax County Circuit Court for defamation after she wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post in 2018, describing herself as a “public figure who represents domestic violence,” said.

Romero said: “They were so scared. They asked me to go into the unit and check room by room. I did it, it’s part of my job.”

Romero met Heard on May 25, 2016, four days after Heard and Depp’s last argument before their divorce.

She claims Depp hit her with a cell phone in the apartment – something he denies.

Romero said he did not see any bruises or cuts on Heard’s face at the time and she was 3 feet away from him.

When asked if he saw anything since they were so close and the light was good, he said: “That’s right”.

Depp laughed again as an angry Romero said he wouldn’t check if Heard’s “lashes aren’t even.”

On Tuesday, the expert Dr. Shannon Curry called to the witness stand.

The clinical and forensic psychologist told the court she concluded that Heard had traits consistent with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and histrionic personality disorder (HPD) — two conditions found in people with patterns of emotional instability and attention-seeking behavior can be found.

The expert's testimony will help bolster Depp's claims that his ex-wife falsely accused him of physically and sexually abusing her in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed and that Heard was allegedly the real perpetrator

The expert’s testimony will help bolster Depp’s claims that his ex-wife falsely accused him of physically and sexually abusing her in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed and that Heard was allegedly the real perpetrator

dr Curry testified that she was hired by Depp’s attorneys early last year to review files in the lawsuit between the two feuding ex-boyfriends and to identify behaviors in their relationship that may be consistent with “intimate partner violence.”

However, the psychology expert revealed her role would change a few months later in October when she was asked to provide a psychological evaluation of Heard, 36.

“The results of Ms. Heard’s examination supported two diagnoses: borderline personality disorder (BPD) and histrionic personality disorder (HPD),” Curry told the court.

She concluded that Heard “grossly exaggerated” her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after her relationship with Depp, and said the actor went from “idealized to the dumpster” in the actress’ eyes.

dr Curry noted that Heard’s BPD was marked by an “underlying terror of abandonment” and someone with the condition tends to make “desperate attempts” to prevent it.

These could be “very extreme behaviors,” she said.

Curry added that because of these disorders, someone like Heard can appear charming at the beginning of a friendship or relationship, but then easily turn dark.

Heard is expected to comment in the coming days to begin her much-anticipated testimony.
