Nicole O'Neil shocked The Real Housewives of Sydney fans when she skipped the season 2 reunion due to an undisclosed “family commitment.”
Her absence sparked rumors of a feud with Nova FM star Joel Creasey, who not only hosted the reunion special but also Nova's official RHOS podcast.
Now Creasey, along with entertainment reporter Jonathan Moran, has set the record straight.
On the comedian's Nova podcast, the couple hinted that Nicole could have made the reunion happen if she wanted to, as their big family engagement actually happened the night before filming.
“She wasn't there because her daughter's school party was going on and Nicole was hosting,” Moran said.

Joel replied, “If anyone had the power to do that, it would be Nicole.”
He also said that due to the uncertainty of whether Nicole would attend or not, they had to film the reunion using three separate scripts.
“A script for when she was there, a script for when she wasn't there, and a script for when she rocked in the middle,” he explained.

The socialite opened up about her absence from filming in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle last week.
“Unfortunately I couldn’t attend because like I said, family always comes first,” she said.
“I wish I could have attended the reunion because I am not at all ashamed of my behavior and would be more than happy to confront anyone who wants to talk to me about the show,” she added.
The rest of the cast was present and Joel hosted, but Nicole's absence was felt
Towards the end of the season, Nicole clashed with her longtime boyfriend Terry Biviano and confirmed that their relationship is still rocky.
Despite the drama, the 44-year-old said she hopes to return for a third season of the binge series.
“I hope I'm welcome back for season three because there's a lot more I want to share and say!” she said.
