Major upheaval at Vogue Australia as Joel Edgerton’s partner Christine Centenera is promoted to editor-in-chief
One of Australia’s top stylists has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Australia.
Christine Centenera, who previously served as the magazine’s fashion director, has been promoted to the top position, replacing Edwina McCann.
The trendsetter, who also has her own label Wardrobe.NYC, has worked for the magazine since 2012.

She will continue to report to McCann, who has been promoted to Editorial Director and Publisher of Vogue Australia.
Their first issue will be out in March 2023, with the red carpet changing title regularly.
“After more than 10 years as editor of the magazine, I am thrilled that Christine has agreed to expand her role and look forward to seeing the next chapter in Vogue Australia magazine’s rich history,” McCann told the Daily Telegraph.

“We have been working together for more than 13 years and Christine is my natural choice to succeed me in this role.
‘While I will continue to serve as the magazine’s editorial director and publisher, this move will allow me to focus on our expanding and successful Prestige publishing business at News Corp Australia, which also includes Conde Nast titles GQ Australia and Vogue Living .’
Centenera, who will continue to be based in Australia, the UK and the US, added: “I love being in close proximity to the extraordinary photographers and people we work with on the sites – from all over the world.
“Wherever I go, people love Australia and I’m proud to be Australian abroad.

She previously dated Australian designer Josh Goot until they broke up in 208.
Together they founded a label called Wardrobe.NYC.
She has also worked on shows for many luxury fashion houses including Louis Vuitton – and was close friends with the late designer Virgil Abloh.
Christine’s partner Joel Edgerton revealed that he and the fashionista had welcomed twins together back in May 2021 in an interview with Oprah Daily.
Elsewhere at the magazine, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Jessica Montague will assume the new position of Editor-in-Chief.
