Singer Joelma has put her concert schedule on hold indefinitely after feeling ill during a performance this Saturday (22). The office that manages the singer’s career cited a “relapse” and the need for a leave of absence due to illness.
“Right now I have to take care of my health to be able to get back to 100%. Thank you for everything! I love you!” the singer said in a note. (see full text below)
Joelma was on tour with “isso é Calypso Tour” in Pará. In the show this Saturday, the singer had to adjust the presentation due to the feeling of being unwell.
“We’re going to do a different show today because I need to recover to get well. I came here, I’ll sing a few more for you guys as far as I can,” Joelma said from the top of the stage.
“I need my stamina and my fitness. And what affected Covid was everything. body, mind, everything. But I really believe in God and I will walk the path I have to go,” the singer said at a press conference in Olinda late last year, when she announced she would be recording a DVD of the current tour.
Since then, Joelma has uncovered several health issues caused by the disease, including eye strokes and cardiac arrest. Nevertheless, the most recent infection was the mildest, she says.
“Fifth place went pretty smoothly. I even thought I didn’t have Covid. From the first to the fourth time it was the same symptoms, very strong. And the fifth, no. It was very smooth,” he said.

“My babies, singing for you and being with you is what I love most. It has been almost 30 professional years of bringing this gift that Heavenly Father has given me to the stage, but right now I need to take care of my health to be able to return to 100%. Many thanks for everything! I love you!”
Jshows, the office that manages singer Joelma’s career, reiterates that Joelma was unwell at Saturday night’s show (22) due to a relapse and as a result she will continue to undergo medical treatment on medical advice and her concert schedule will be canceled indefinitely.
