(More) good news, everyone! The cast of Futurama it’s whole again.
John DiMaggio, who voices Bender (and other characters) in the long-running and now-revived animated series, will join the rest of the show’s main cast for new episodes of Hulu. When the streamer announced the revival on February 9, DiMaggio had not yet made a deal to return, but it has already been done. He joins colleagues Billy West, Katie Sagal, Tress McNeill, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar and David Herman.
A number of Futurama fans were voiced with dissatisfaction that DiMaggio has not yet signed – the dissatisfaction that the actor has intensified in his social media accounts. On February 15, DiMaggio posted a note on Twitter which reads in part: “Bender is part of my soul and nothing in it is meant to be disrespectful to fans or my Futurama family. It’s about self-esteem. And to be honest, to be tired of an industry that has become too corporate and is taking advantage of an artist’s time and talent. ”
After the deal was over, DiMaggio returned to Bender mode on Tuesday: “BACK, BABY! I am so damn grateful for the love and support of both fans and colleagues all this time (especially my wife Kate) and I can’t wait to get back to work with my Futurama family, “he said in a statement.” #Bendergate is officially over, so put it on the back of a shelf behind Christmas decorations or maybe in that kitchen drawer with all the other crap you put in there like old useless crazy glue, or maybe even put it in a jar you save farts. Whatever floats in your boat, I don’t care, you know. I’m back, darling! GIVE ME THE GLOSSY METAL ASS! “
Hulu will debut with 20 new episodes of Futurama in 2023, and production will begin soon. The series is on its third platform since it began its life at Fox in 1999. It lasted four seasons there, then was revived in a series of direct to DVD movies and finally with original episodes of Comedy Central in 2010 ( TV editions of DVD movies aired as “Season Five” on Comedy Central in 2008-09.)
The Comedy Central series lasted two seasons (each divided into two parts). In total, Futurama – Created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen – has so far aired 140 episodes.

Cohen added: “John DiMaggio may be a great robot, but he’s also a great man. Not many people or machines can say that. For the fourth time, it’s a thrill that happens once in a lifetime to come back with all our original cast and phenomenal animators from Rough Draft Studios. “
Futurama – whose library is also broadcast on Hulu – will join the list of original animated series, including Animationists revival, Solar opposites and Crossing swords. Hulu has also become a platform for adult animation library titles such as Family man, Rick and Morty, Bob’s burgers and South Park, some of which rank among the most-watched streamer titles, thanks in part to their repeatability and considerable fan base.
