John Mulaney goes crazy over his son Malcolm’s giggles as they enjoy a day at the beach with his partner Olivia Munn in a cute video

John Mulaney was over the moon at his son’s giggles in a sweet video posted to social media on Friday.

The 40-year-old comedian, who was recently spotted on a rare date with partner Olivia Munn in Los Angeles, appeared completely happy during a family beach trip.

The almost two-year-old sat on his father’s shoulders and laughed uncontrollably when his father asked, ‘Happy?’ Slap happy?’

Olivia, 43, added to the adorable moment, writing: “His squeak at the end.”

Although she was not in the clip, she appeared to be filming and her laughter could be heard crossing with John and Malcolm’s.

John has come a long way since the intervention and treatment that helped him recover from his drug addiction.

The prankster used the pain of the experience to spark laughs on his Netflix special Baby J.

The standup show received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Variety Special and Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special.

The Bear actor opened up about fatherhood and who’s boss in his house in an interview on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast.

“I used to think about so many things, and I wanted to be so smart and be this curated little jerk, and now all I can think of is, ‘Yeah Malcolm, do that.’ Oh yeah, ‘Right. Baseball,” he explained.

The Big Mouth star then went on to describe the guy’s nighttime ritual.

“Every night when he goes to bed, I ask, ‘What time are you going to wake up?’ And he says, ‘Seven,’ and we both laugh. And we say “deal” and shake.”

Unfortunately, Malcolm’s body clock is in a different time zone than his parents’, rising about two hours earlier.

“That happened two Wednesdays ago.” He says, “Baseball!” Immediately I say, “You want to play?” He says, “Play.”

“Now he and I are in the front yard at 5:10 in pajamas and jackets.” And I take the ball and hit it on the tee. And he’s holding a wiffle ball bat and he says, “Two bats.” “So I give him another bat and now he has two,” he explained.

“And I put the ball on and he’s like, ‘Dad, do that.’ And I’m like, ‘Dad, do that.’ And I’m hitting the wiffle ball so far.” And he says, “Yes, good work!” I say, “Yes, good work.”

“I put a ball on for him,” he continued, “and I said, ‘Malcolm, are you going to do that?’ And he’s like, ‘Malcolm, do that.’ Hand holding the racquet against the tee and the ball falls down. Secure. And I say, “Yes, good work,” and he says, “Yes, good work. Malcolm, good job.”

The doting dad described their antics as, “We’re just two jerks at five in the morning, the floodlights, the ring cam lights go out, it’s so early.”
